Privacy policy

App Stack Doctor is a Shopify app made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects when a merchant installs it, how we use it, and how it's deleted.

The short version

  • We only ask Shopify for read access to your themes. We can't see your orders, products, or customers.
  • We don't collect any personal information about your customers.
  • We never sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
  • When you uninstall, everything we hold about your store is deleted.

What we collect

InformationWhy
Your store's domain and a Shopify access tokenTo connect to your store when you use the app.
The name of your published theme and the contents of its code filesRead during a scan to find app code. Theme files are processed in memory and not stored; only the findings (file names, line numbers and the matching line) are saved.
Public storefront pages (home, one product, all products, cart)Loaded during a scan, as a shopper's browser would, to list the scripts apps add. We save the script addresses and sizes, not the page content.
Scan results and historyTo show you your report and track your score over time.
Your plan and subscription statusRead from Shopify to decide which features to show. Payments are handled entirely by Shopify.

If your storefront is password protected, the storefront password you enter is used for that single scan and is never stored.

Customer data

The app doesn't access or store personal information about your customers. We still respond to Shopify's customer data request and deletion webhooks as required; there is nothing for us to return or delete.

Where data is stored

The app runs on Cloudflare (hosting and database) and connects to Shopify's APIs. Data is encrypted in transit. We don't use any other third-party services, analytics, or trackers.

Retention and deletion

We keep your scan results while the app is installed. When you uninstall, your access token is deleted immediately, and Shopify asks us to erase your store's data 48 hours later — at which point all scan results are permanently deleted. You can also email us to request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about your store. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
