Questions merchants ask
Will it change my theme?
No. App Stack Doctor only asks Shopify for permission to read your theme — it can't edit it. Every fix is shown to you with the exact file and line, and you decide what to change.
Will it slow my store down?
No. There's nothing to add to your storefront. The scan runs on our servers and loads your pages the same way a shopper's browser would.
My store is password protected. Can I still scan it?
Yes. Enter your storefront password when you scan. It's used for that scan only and is never stored.
How do you know what my apps cost?
We match each app we detect to its public starting price. It's an estimate — Shopify doesn't share what you actually pay for other apps — but it's usually close enough to spot waste.
